The R15 V4 and R15M were already globally launched during the end of last year but it wasn’t available officially in the country through ACI Motors Ltd who are the sole official distributors of Yamaha motorcycles in Bangladesh.
Both bikes were unveiled at a grand event held at the capital’s Bashundhara City Complex. Several senior officials of ACI Motors were present during the unveiling ceremony including the Managing Director of ACI Motors- Dr. S.H. Ansari and Executive Director of ACI Motors- Mr. Subrata Ranjan Das.
Eishin Chihana, chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, was the special guest of the launching event. Besides, Hidefumi Kawai, Director, Yamaha Motor India Sales was present at the ceremony.
The launching event consisted of opening speeches from the chief officials and the special guests followed by the unveiling of the bikes and last but not the least, a special stage performance by Rockstar James.
The Yamaha R15 series is one of the most popular sports bikes in the country. The bike was an instant hit among the local two wheeler enthusiasts ever since the original R15 came to Bangladesh over a decade ago. With the current sports bike market being the most competitive than it has ever been, the Yamaha R15 series, especially the R15 V3 still remains to be one of the highest selling sports bikes in the country, when combined both official and unofficial models.

The launching price for the Yamaha R15 V4 starts at Tk5,40,000 BDT while the flagship R15M gets a slight bump in price to Tk 5,55,000 while the FZ-X is priced significantly lower at Tk 3,50,000
