On 20th December 2021, KTM hosted their first ever stunt show in Bangladesh. The venue selected for the event was G M A G Osmani Hall located at the capital’s Tejgaon area. This was a day-long event which started at 10am in the morning and ended at 6pm in the evening.
The event started with ‘Track N’ Test’ which was a test riding campaign hosted by KTM for the first time ever in Bangladesh. This former part of the day-long event started at 10am in the morning and continued till 2pm in the afternoon. Two bikes were offered for the test ride event which included a KTM RC 125, a KTM racing bike inspired 125cc baby sports bike with mean makeovers and the KTM Duke 125 Austrian which is a street ready 125cc naked sports bike. Both bikes are available to be purchased at KTM’s official dealerships across the country. Several other KTM bikes were brought to the event venue along with the test bikes as well mainly to be used as props for the event.
The later part of the event was called ‘KTM Stunt Show’ and as the name suggests, this was a stunt show event hosted by KTM. KB Riderz was the team chosen by KTM to perform the stunt show for the event. The bikes, however, were provided by KTM to the stuntmen of KB Riderz, albeit to portray how lightweight and easy to maneuver the lightweight 125cc KTM Duke 125 (Indian) bikes are. Nearly 50 people showed up for the test ride event while many more were present during the stunt show performed by KB Riderz. Besides, KTM also invited every official KTM user of Bangladesh to the event.
KTM has held several events during 2021. For example, right before the Stunt Show and Test N’ Track event, KTM hosted the ‘Dhaka Urban Escape Ride’ which was a preplanned group ride from Dhaka to Cumilla for KTM members. A similar event was also hosted with a much larger test track and a more fruitful stunt show at Jagannath Hall during the first week of January 2022.
KTM(KTM AG) is an Austrian bicycle, motorbike and car manufacturer jointly owned by Pierer Mobility AG and Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV. In January of 2021, KTM was officially introduced into the two wheeler market of Bangladesh. The Austrian bike manufacturer started its journey with Runner Automobiles Ltd. in Bangladesh who are the official distributor of KTM bikes in Bangladesh. Although KTM bikes have been brought to the country through the grey market, the brand received mass popularity only during recent times since beginning it’s official operations.
