Genesis CEO William Lee confirmed that the Hyundai luxury brand has a “study” for a shooting brake version of the G70. The longroof shape of the G70 is evident in these spy photos despite the car being heavily covered. The wagon would be based on the new facelifted G70 set to be unveiled next year. This would set the G70 shooting brake to compete with the likes of the Audi Avant, BMW 3-series Touring, and Mercedes C-class shooting brake in terms of the European markets. In the US market, the Audi A4 Allroad and the Volvo V60 would be more appropriate contenders for the shooting brake G70. However, it is still unclear and even unlikely. that the wagon will be available to US consumers.
