GMC might be coming up with a mini crossover finally!

Crossovers being the most popular type of car these days, it isn’t surprising that GMC will come up with a one. Rather it’s only a matter of time before you as a consumer is even more confused about which brand to lean towards when you buy your very own cross. In 2010, GMC unveiled a tiny crossover at the 2010 North American International Auto Show held in Detroit. The concept was named ‘Granite’ and this could potentially be the official name of this small crossover when it comes out as the sources claim General Motors have filed a trademark for the name along with another one- ‘Graphyte’ during the last few years. The crossover might be based on the VSS-F platform which it already shares with the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Buick Encore GX and the GMC Terrain already. Although initially the rumours were denied by GMC last year but I guess now, seeing the growing love and demand for crossovers among the mass consumers, GMC might have changed their mind and took the Granite back to their garage to make it ready for large quantity production. This could be the perfect SUV to take the slot below the GMC Terrain if it is priced correctly (less than $25,000) as the Granite will already be smaller in size.
