Tesla stocks fall in light of exclusion from S&P 500

The S&P 500 “party” happened, and Tesla didn’t receive any invitations in the mail. The S&P 500, or simply known as the S&P, is a stock market index that measures the stock performance of 500 large companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States, determined by committee with adjustments made on a quarterly basis. Contrary to popular speculation, Tesla didn’t make the cut this time around. Instead, online retailer Etsy, pharma company Catalent and test equipment company Teradyne were added by S&P.Essentially, due to mutual funding all these companies have to invest in those involved in the list, but of course, Tesla didn’t make the list so I guess someone better call Chris Jericho. The news was a bit worrisome for the influx of investors that hoped Tesla would make it.
