Ford v Ferrari, a rivalry old as automotive culture itself, has finally graced the silver screen.James Mangold is responsible for doing so and has cast Matt Damon (The Bourne Identity)and Christian Bale (The Dark Knight), as Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles, the original dynamic duo.The year was 1966, the Ford Motor Company was slowly descending into doom. At that point, the Advertisement Executives of the company had explained how the incoming generation would no longer want to buy cars for being practical, so Ford had to create a new image for itself, if it wanted to last in the industry. As a result, the company decides to get
into the racing business, in order to buy into the idea of victory.
