Toyota Corolla AE92: The Understated Corolla

The AE86 Corolla is undoubtedly one of the most appreciated cars all throughout the world. Originally being featured in the popular Japanese anime ‘Initial D’ back in the late 80s, the AE86 received immense popularity among enthusiasts worldwide. The car has been featured in almost all racing games since the 90s and even to this date. It is even popular among scale model collectors with AE86 scale models available from almost all big diecast manufacturers and that too in all scales and sizes. The AE86 was the last ever Corolla to receive a drivetrain that is real wheel drive. The popularity of the later models went downwards rapidly since the later models were released. The newer Levins and Truenos were heavier making the small 1.6L 4-AGE struggle even harder than before. However, now that the successor of the AE86(or the AE92 to be precise) is over 30 years old and the values of these cars have declined, this makes the AE92 an amazing first car to get into the world of cars and tuning for any young petrolhead given that AE86s have became too rare now and their prices skyrocketing. For this feature, Team Turbine managed a 1992 Toyota Corolla Levin which initially started its life as a Trueno but later received a faceswap.
