Very rarely do women in Bangladesh get the opportunity to do what they did. Nevertheless, doctors Sakia Haque and Manashi Saha took the duty upon themselves to go through the struggle of doing it. Imagine Bangladesh where women could live their day-to-day lives without the struggles they should not have to face. Imagine Bangladesh where doing something like this would not be so difficult. But envisioning does not get the deed done, so the two doctors took it upon themselves to get it out there.

As a person from my childhood, I have thought of myself as an independent soul. I have never really taken much help from others which helped me grow as a self-dependent individual. Unlike other girls, I was more outgoing from an early age.

Starting her journey back in 2006, she has come a long way. “Starting off I had to face a lot of abuse, being a female biker.” She says. “Back when I started I was totally uncommon for women to ride bikes. Especially in a place like Khulna” According to her. People nowadays have come to terms with the fact that women ride bike too. But back then it was unheard of. Places like Khulna could not even bring themselves to imagine something as such.
