The automotive sector can be broken down broadly into 3 segments. Motorcycles are currently the biggest segment which has seen a huge boom in the recent years thanks to great initiative from our government to establish local manufacturing and in turn develop the market. Another big segment is the commercial segment which includes trucks, busses & other special vehicles. Passenger vehicles comprise of Japanese Used Cars, which are sold by the Reconditioned Market, and brand new cars represented by distributors of the Car manufacturers.It is fascinating to see how our market reacted to the COVID impact. Firstly, market was totally closed for the most part of April and May 2020. Since then, Government organizations have note purchased any vehicles effective till June 2021. Banks have also not given auto loans between April to August, 2020. However the automotive sector has picked up strongly since June 2020 and till now, the individual/ retail and corporate segment have been going strong and we are pleasantly surprised with the current
