While Avik Anwar’s family was always mentally supportive about Avik Anwar’s venture into Motorsport but when it comes to sourcing finance and funding for his license as well as races, it has always been on him. “Racing is an expensive sport and to participate, train or to just think about it, money is paramount.” Avik confirmed, “These hurdles were not easy to overcome but I have always mastered my skills to find good sponsors so at least half of my racing cost is borne.”This is only a part of his struggle as a motorsport driver though. Some of the other hurdles include getting a racing license every year. Getting a racing license is a lengthy and complicated process and unlike a regular driving license, Avik needs to update his racing license every year and have to go through several troublesome procedures such as medical tests which further add to the challenges. Last but not the least, travelling to different venues every now and then in order to register, train or participate is time consuming and rather extravagant all of which adds up.
